Creator and Victim do you know what they are? Are you doing it yourself? Can you even stop it from happing to you or to someone you know?

“A college class was told they would need their textbook in class. Their college bookstore hadn’t ordered enough copies of the book and ran out. Two students were unable to get their text before the first day of class. The instructor asked them to get the text by the 2nd week of class. When the class next met, the instructor asked them if they had the text. The first said “No, I do not have the textbook. I was not able to get it because the bookstore didn’t have any more. They said they ran out. It was their fault, not mine.” The second student had the text. The instructor asked if she’d gotten it from the bookstore. She said: “No, they ran out” “Well, then where did you get it?” the instructor asked. “I called a nearby college bookstore” she replied. “Oh, so that’s where you got it” the instructor said. “No, they didn’t have it either” she said. “Then where did you get it?!” the instructor asked. “I next called several other college bookstores in our region, ones farther away from our campus. But none of them carried this book. So finally I went online and found used copies available for much less. I used the savings to pay for 2-day air shipping, and got the used book by 2nd day air, for about the price the new book was at our bookstore” she concluded.” (David Mirman’s blog) Do you know if you or a friend you know create or blame someone or something that happened to you or them? If so then you are a creator or playing as a victim. According to college professor Dr. Skip Downing; Creators are people who consistently make the choices that lead to the outcomes they desire in life. They understand that they create their own outcome. Now a Victim are people who don’t feel that they “affect” the outcomes they get in life, that other people or outside forces control what happens to them. As a result they tend to respond to the situation which come up rather than create their desired outcome.

Victim now I bet you thinking a victim is that something bad happened to someone and you would be right; but in this case you are wrong because some people can use this as an excuse for not doing their work. For example I have a really good memory about stuff but I push it off until the very day its do and I turn in a really crappie paper. That’s because it does not interest me and I go and play card games with friends or go online and play games and forget that I have homework that I got to do and then I blame something that never really happened. So I Victims myself. So I am only hurting myself. Like the story in the first paragraph the first student let’s call her Jen went to only one bookstore and when they did not have it she gave up. Don’t ever give up keep trying.

A Creator; a writer who writes books, a film maker, or a person makes a sandwich. This are examples of creators but in this case a Creator is a person who tries everything to turn in his or her work. Maxson for example he is a really good friend of mine he gets his work done and turns it in on time even if he is sick he lets the teacher or boss and see’s if he can turn it in when he gets better or if he can send it through an email. He doesn’t Victims himself he tries everything first before giving up. There are time he comes over and helps me and keeps me on task even if we joke around now and then he helps me be just being there and keeping me on task.

Maxson is a really cool friend he tries everything he can to turn in his work and if he can’t then he takes that problem head on and tries everything before giving up. Unlike me who tries to Victims himself; sad right so who would you or could you help someone who Victims themselves. If you could would you be Creative about it and how would you be Creative about it?
